Make an app demo from a screen recording.
Bring one owned screen recording that shows a real action and its result. This GoScript example becomes a clean, silent ten-second video with the complete app shown before a readable detail.
Free clean single video · No account required · Browser format is MP4 or WebM
Your new media project starts empty. Example copy adds editable text and layout only.
The actual recording shows Start change to Pause while a sample teleprompter script advances. The enlarged controls are the same moving source pixels.
GoScript and ReelParcel are first-party Sparkwell products. This simulator recording uses a sample script. It shows auto-scroll and its control changing; it does not show a camera take, a customer result, or a new release.
Inspect the original inputs.
One contiguous, normal-speed excerpt, 41.000–51.000 seconds in the original first-party recording. The supplied source is already trimmed to 0–10 seconds. It shows a sample script in a simulator; no camera take is recorded.
Build this sequence in Studio.
- Choose one complete action. Use a recording that starts before the control changes and holds the readable result. Download the prepared GoScript source to reproduce this example: it is one normal-speed, 10-second excerpt from 41.000–51.000 in the original. Use the prepared file from 0 to 10 seconds, with no further trim or speed change.
- Add the prepared recording. Open Studio, select the MP4 and confirm media permission. Choose “Use full recording with source-led and detail tools.” This example uses the complete prepared file; precise range editing is a different mode. Paste the exact message below into the selected variant. In Template and accent options, choose Walkthrough and #3478F6.
- Show context before the real detail. Enable “Show source-led moments throughout the moving recording.” Keep one moment from 0 to 10 seconds and set “Full frame before detail (seconds)” to 1.00. Label it “Control detail · same moving source.” Select the wide lower control region shown in the settings below. Enable “Show the short Hook first and Call to action last”; keep Generic video layout and Silent audio.
- Review the file before downloading. Confirm the selected variant's claims, choose Create video preview, and watch the whole exact video at phone size. Check the Start-to-Pause change, moving script, source disclosure and CTA. Confirm the full-video review, then download that same MP4 or WebM. The exact MP4 linked here is silent; a new browser's export format can differ.
Use the exact settings and copy.
These settings belong to the example above. For your app, replace every claim and disclosure with what your original media supports. Source-dependent selections need to be made again after a new upload.

If the source cannot explain the action, record it again.
Begin before the action, wait for loading to finish, and keep the result visible long enough to read. Capture the app screen without private information, debug overlays or notifications. A button that is never activated cannot support a claim that the action happened. Two screenshots can show an input and result, but they cannot become genuine interaction footage.
The browser accepts recordings up to 60 seconds and 100 MB, with output up to 30 seconds. Use MP4 or WebM that this browser can decode; MOV depends on its codec. If a MOV fails, re-export it as MP4. If video export is unavailable, preserve your copy and use owned screenshots for a carousel ZIP. Desktop Chrome is tested; video format varies by browser.
The source here is silent. Selected recording clips also export silently. An untrimmed recording can preserve source audio only when the browser supports and successfully captures it; unsupported audio stops export. This recipe does not establish audio behavior on another browser.
Check the destination after the file.
The output is 1080×1920. Social-app controls, captions and crops can obscure the video. Open an unpublished destination draft and inspect the complete video, especially the opening, controls and CTA, before posting.
Keep the setup for a distinct next update.
After downloading, choose “Save this setup for your next update,” then save a named project. “New demo for this app” asks what changed and creates a separate editable project. Replace the old source or message as needed, then confirm permission and review its claims again. Your original project stays unchanged.
Device projects stay in this browser. Storage may be cleared or evicted and does not sync; keep the original files and a copy backup outside the browser. No account is required. After downloading, check Downloads and open the file before closing Studio.
For an update explained by several screens, use the five-slide app update carousel guide. It uses actual screenshots and shows the original sources beside the downloaded slides.
